Our Favorite Face

Carl Ross, an Opelika native, is a known figure around campus, especially in the Student Center. The 54-year-old loves to clean in his role as a facilities specialist on campus. He has worked at Auburn University for 27 years. On top of his job at Auburn, Carl proudly works at Jim Bob’s Chicken Fingers. In his free time, he enjoys working outside and gardening. Carl has also served as a guest picker for The Auburn Plainsman.

Carl is one of the most consistently outgoing figures around our office; he always has something to talk about and is always eager to make new friends. His opinionated discussions on sports and politics invoke thoughtful arguments nearly every day. This year, Carl was extremely pleased with Alabama’s win in the Iron Bowl and Donald Trump’s win for president. There are very few times when Carl is found without a smile consuming his face. He loves Auburn University’s campus and student body, but is a lifelong Alabama fan. Despite his daily greeting of “Roll Tide,” he is loved and appreciated by the students, faculty, and staff who he comes in contact with.
